Check-In thread

I'm curious how everyone is feeling about MeMu these days. There is a lot going on at MeTa with regard to site processes, moderation etc. & I don't think it's unfair to say that there is a bit of a sea change taking place at MeFi these days. I figured there might as well be a thread in MeMu to talk about it as needed. Anyone have any thoughts about how things are going here and anything they'd like to see done differently?

I really liked greenish's podcast, for example. I miss it & would love to see something like that be a regular thing. Happy to help as needed!

I for one really enjoy this part of the site. Being very much an introvert IRL this has been (no pun intended) instrumental in helping me share my music. If there is a way I can contribute to it's furtherance I want to know about it!

I've been listening to the podcast and posting for a long time and if feels like the glory days were some years ago, with some bankable songwriters who have ceased posting. Is it me or has the sheer volume of posts slowed down? I like the variety which is kind of the whole point. I could be wrong, but I think twee hipster songs get more interest.

Two things I personally avoid are gratuitous F-bombs and copyright infringement, the latter could get someone in trouble (for all I know everyone has shelled out licensing fees, but somehow I doubt it). Over-frequent posts by any individual might be turning some listeners away. I sure hope my own slightly oddball stuff hasn't wrecked it for anyone. I'm sure there are lots of other places to share music - I simply haven't sought them out.
And, uh...what is this "sea change" that's happening at MeFi HQ?

Hey! I'm really sorry I've been so absent. 2020 was a big year of change for me and things are only just settling down. I've really missed hanging out here.

I'm super chuffed that you guys were into the podcast. Shall I start that back up again?

I'm going to get back into commenting here as I think that feeding back to each other is the lifeblood of MeFiMu works. Also, I've just finally started writing again so I'm going to post more myself!
