I just got CoolEditPro and started learning how to do this. I have no instruments at this point, but I will get some. When I was young, I took piano lessons from the lady next door for about three years. She didn't like me and used to hit the backs of my fingers with a pencil when I made a mistake. I didn't practice as much as I should have, I admit. As soon as I get an instrument(s), I'll record more and upload them here.

Thanks, everyone. I know it's not all that good of a song and I need to learn more about recording. You aren't kidding about the high cost of instruments! I went to a local music store and the cheapest guitar they had was like $200. Then you got to get an amp, a strap, some pics and it would prolly be a good idea to get a spare set of strings. Adds up. So I'm going to wait and find something used on craigslist or something. Maybe get one of those little casio keyboards. Yeah, I really like this whistling. It's funny, you don't really hear too much whistling music anymore. I wonder what happened? I'm writing a new song now and I'm about halfway done. If it turns out ok, I'll post it here.

It's funny, you don't really hear too much whistling music anymore. I wonder what happened?

Well, this tune of mine my includes a wee bit of the old whistle, between verses. So you see, with this and micayetoca's tune linked above (and perhaps others?), whistling here at MeFiMu is, if not alive and well, then at least alive.
