This is a track from an upcoming album where every track is an instrumental based on samples of international folk music. The chopped up melodies on this one come courtesy of China. Thanks, country of China!

This is pretty cool. The "static" in it is kind of annoying to my ears, but the flutes and strings etc sound really great, I like how you've treated them. I could see someone rap over this, actually. Where do you get the folk music from? Vinyl?

This is cool! The speech and whatnot gives it quite the DJ Shadow-ish-ness (I assure you Shadow-ish-ness is a real word!) I could stand to have those strings just a teeny bit further forward in the mix!

edlundart -- yeah, it's from an old 10" I picked up in Seattle a few years back. Produced in China.

TwoWordReview -- I agree... the strings do need to be brought up in the mix a bit. It's been tricky since the bass is so thick. But I'm still working through the mix of this particular one, so the final version will hopefully be a little better balanced.
