Short, with improvised and awkwards chunks, various mistakes, and a outro that flirts with crashlanding. Peace.

Hark! The Herald Angels Sing (MagiMix)

Picking up on media hype about a strange new star that's getting beardy-wierdies very excited, local New Wave outfit The HeBeGeeBees (Maurice, Barry and Ruben) decide the time is ripe to release their debut single. Recorded live at a packed-to-the-rafters Holiday Inn Bethlehem, the track is coupled with the riske “Herod Blew My Camel, No Really". [more inside]

Christmas Wrapping

Cover of The Waitresses classic recorded for Christmas 2006 and featuring my daughters Jennifer and Stephanie on vocals. Their English accents make it sound like a Bananarama outtake. I will shortly be uploading something that will almost certainly qualify for the "Naughty" podcast even if it doesn't make the cut.....

This Song Was About Crying

It's a snow day here in Wisconsin and that means that the kid and I are recording. This one is 5 tracks of kid vocals -- sort of a nonverbal impressionistic vibe this time -- with some canned drums and synth. And some crying at the end.

Sam (Cheesecake Mix)

Forgot about this one. Lyric's a bit rubbish (sentimental and rather cliched) but the rest isn't bad. Decent guitar solo from about 2.33. Don't know what I was trying to achieve with the extended outro. Whole thing is perhaps a little too slow and underproduced? Comments welcome, as ever. [more inside]

in an aisle seat

Greasy rock song about falling asleep in passenger seats. I could use some help with this. Ok, this is my first attempt at recording with real drums. While I'm happy to finally post something featuring my insanely talented little brother, Mike, I'm sorry to say that the drum recording I started out with was awful and I'm not sure I've made it any better. If anyone has some insight as to what can be fixed and how, or some tips on cheap/lo-fi/hopelessly inept home drum recording, I'd love to hear them. [more inside]
