Because The Sound of Music was on TV this weekend.

I heard this and thought, "that would make a great rock song." I don't know if I was right, and I'm certainly not quite the sex machine that Christopher Plummer is, but I think this version's got its own sort of charm.

Thanks, guys, I appreciate it. This was one of those projects that hit me like a lightning bolt and was mostly finished the next night. There are six vocal tracks, and the only one that got more than one take was the lead line. They're all clipped to hell and back because I was really belting, but the acoustics in here are so bad that I've got to stay close to the mic to drown out the awful room. But I think it works, in context.

In any case, thanks; glad I could rock your collective world.
