This is a love song I wrote for my girlfriend shortly after we met.
I only recently got the piano I needed to fill this thing out properly (thanks, Santa!). I intend to record drums for this as well, but wanted to post it here to get a little feedback first. It's got a few recording gaffs, but I think it gives you a fair idea of what I'm after.

haha - no, not meant to be a dirge.
The piano bit at the end is actually the same piano part that's playing throughout the verse of the song, but I guess it gets hidden down among the other instruments. I may need to pull the bass back a bit.

I like how to rhythm takes a few moments to gran onto as the listener. At least, I had to. This is really nice.

This is great. I like love songs that aren't obvious and have a little more of a mix of feelings rather than just one emotion. Well done.

Yeah, I like the herky-jerky rhythm a lot.
I dunno, I like that low piano -- I do agree that it and the bass kinda bump into each other, but maybe instead of transposing the piano, you could try pulling the bass out altogether? Maybe it isn't needed with that low piano. Or try transposing the bass up? (is that goofy?) If it was me, I might try dumping the bass and playing its part with a high glockenspiel.
