Looking for comments on new album

I'm finishing up an album, and looking for volunteers to listen and critique...

For those of you unfamiliar with my oeuvre, as it were, you can check out my band site linked from my profile. The new album I'm putting the finishing touches on is called Vaporware (and yes, it took entirely longer than I originally expected to finish it, so it's thus far lived up to its name).

I'm generally loath to apply genre-identifiers to most of my music, but this album is intended to be a fairly cohesive set of alt rock (some lighter, some heavier) guitar-oriented music (9 songs, 1 instrumental). The current running time is just under 45 minutes.

If you have the time and inclination, respond in this thread or Memail me, and I'd be happy to Memail you a URL so you can download and listen to the album. The only quid pro quo I want is if you download, a) please do not upload it, torrent it, or post my link online, and b) please offer your unvarnished opinion. Track by track would be ideal, but even just a couple sentences would help.

I've found that Mefi Music is one of the places I've seen online that actually has a lot of good talent and good ears, so I'd be honored if any of you would provide me some of your valuable time. Commenters will be given shoutouts in the liner notes.

Nah, this is fine and your discretion about the link is thoughtful and maybe not even really necessary given that you aren't some brand-new driveby signup. Getting an album done is a neat thing and totally valid to try and get feedback on—arguably, folks talking about it in here in addition to private correspondence is the better way to go since it creates more of a community discussion than just emailing on the side.

That's an even better idea, cortex. Either Memail me or post your interest here and I'll Memail out links to anyone interested, and feel free to post comments and critiques in the thread.

For context, the first track on the album is a (slightly updated) mix of The Life of Perfect Creatures (previously on MefiMu here.

Also, there's a nearly complete re-working of Requiem, with totally new lyrics, a new second half, and now called Ghost Ring.
