Paranoid Android

My song for the OK Computer challenge. Pretty similar to the original, but with my own personal touches here and there. I performed everything, and recorded it in Logic Pro 9.

Before the challenge was announced, I had already been working on a long-term project that involves me recording cover songs that fit certain themes. Paranoid Android happened to fit in with one of themes, so I was happy to have the chance to do this and put it out there. I welcome any feedback including constructive criticism. Thanks for listening, and thanks to The World Famous for the challenge.

Oh this is single malt Scotch. Complex and perfect in its simplicity. I love it.

This is awesome. Really well done. The fuzz guitar is balls-to-the-wall, and there are just some great sounds in there.

My only complaint (since you asked) is really about the mix--it feels overcompressed and sort of squashed and distorted without actually being loud. I can't tell what the "problem" (if any) is on these terrible earbuds I'm listening on, although I suspect it's too much bass or low-mids (maybe building up on the reverb returns), hitting the compressor. Maybe not though.

Thanks so much for the appreciative comments, everyone.

And thanks to uncleozzy for the thoughts about the mix/master. I'm still in the process of teaching myself Logic Pro, and mastering is the stage I'm most in the dark about. I still consider this a work in progress, so I'll try tweaking the EQ on certain tracks, and the compression and volume on the overall song.
