Whoa.

I think you really did this one justice. The lyrics are weird and apocalyptic, and you've come up with a rendition that really matches that.

Strat, Carvin 12-string, Les Paul thru a wah pedal and a cranked Sansamp, drum machine.

Love that neat droning strum sound. Like some sort of odd, angry autoharp.

The delivery reminded me of Was (Not Was) and their weirdo spoken word tracks, but this is a surprisingly emotional rendition. I love it.

This is great. You sound like I imagine the the headliner would sound inside the small smoke-filled caberet within the brain of an insane person. He's bobbing his head to this and holding his "The End is Nigh" sign. I particularly liked the "don't think you knew you were in THIS song" part. Nice job.

I get this song in my head a lot. I also can never remember the lyrics fully, so I walk around campus muttering "My brain hurts like a warehouse, there's no room to spare, there other world that go around here."

FYI: I really dug this.

The drone is the Les Paul and an auto-wah. (Well, also, a squashed Route 66 compressor and a cranked SansAmp.)

Nice version.

This is excellent. The post-apocalyptic reportage vocal performance makes me think of a particularly grizzled muppet with nothing left but a guitar and a bad case of The Dead Flag Blues. I really love the more high-concept/out-of-genre covers people have done, 'cos there's a lot there in Bowie's material and trying to too closely match the original seems self-defeating. Great, great version!

Thanks for introducing me to that, comealongpole. Godspeed is one of those incredibly tasteful and creative bands who lie just beyond my listening horizon for no other reason than lack of time.
