The Model

I've been out of the game for a while, so I thought I'd warm up by covering the Kraftwerk classic acoustically. I thought I'd try some alliteration aswell...

I really wanted to like this, but several things are out of time (the initial vocals, the electric guitar riff). There is potential here though. I'd go acoustic all the way personally, and replace the current electric riff with strummed acoustic.

You're right, it definitely doesn't sit together the way it should. It was a relatively quick and dirty, saturday-afternoon-with-a-hangover job but my timing is definitely the thing I need to work most at. Only way to sort it out is more practice. Cheers for the feedback!

That's funny, I liked the out-of-time-ness, and actually assumed that it might've been intentional! And now that I know it wasn't intentional, I think I like it more!

Ha! Cool, I guess It could be justified it as the antithesis of the rigidity of the electronics of Kraftwerk or, you know, something like that. Could be reaching a bit...

Hey, TWR, just in case you were wondering, the above banjo comment was supposed to land in another thread. It got misrouted. Great quote, though, eh? Hard to argue with that.

I must have ruined my ears from listening to Syd Barret and Captain Beefheart growing up. I really don't think the timing is detrimental, given the clarity of the arrangement. At any rate, this is a great choice!
