Sold Sign by emelenjr

Once upon a time, there was a band named Thred. It imploded because our manager was hot and three of the guys in the band couldn't keep their hands off her. We recorded this one for a benefit CD that never materialized, in a studio where I eventually found myself working, learning how to use ProTools. I mixed most of this myself, just for the hell of it. (The song takes aim at local band Carbon Leaf, whom we didn't think were deserving of the praise they were getting. I just can't see a penny whistle on the MTV except for R.E.M., and you ain't them...)

random funky by loquacious

This is less of a song and more of a sketch, but I found it on my drive and I'm going to post it. Much less developed than my other submission. It's more of a half-assed experiment with drum signatures and reverb with some granulation synth stuff tied into the reverb and echoes.
Bagel on the Malecon by barmaljova

A very New York-bred outlook at old-time Cuban music, recorded entirely with .. violas! This was my attempt to create asymmetrical but memorable melodies, clear textures crammed with material, and experiment with multitrack viola as a concept, an ensemble. The sound of the classic Cuban bands had all that - except the violas, that is. This track appears on my newly released CD, the VJOLA: WORLD ON FOUR STRINGS
