For my first MeFiMu post, I decided to whip up a recording of this bit o'sad bastard piano balladry. It's a rough recording, all pretty much first takes, but I think it works well enough.

First thing: this file is 9.98 megs. Score. Second: The track is upwards of ten minutes. It's from a series casually referred to as studio time - hit the jump for a better description. The upshot is that this is me, sitting at a piano, with no particular idea of what to play.

Working draft of a song I'm engineering—written by friend and former bandmate Brian, who is on guitar and vocals, with keys added by moi. Feedback/criticism desirable. This is my first real effort to play producer/engineer to someone else's material.
