"For you emcees" It's an electro-kinda riddim with a mellow feel. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
chill, metropolitan 80s chic. free download on soundcloud.
When Roxette recorded this song in 1988, they commented that they were trying to create that "overblown American FM-rock sound." In 2010, I bring it back to America with the overblown American hip-hop/club sound, complete with ferocious auto-tune lines and an all-stops-pulled, everything-and-the-kitchen-sink-and-808-kick-and-crash beat. I hope you like it!
I'm getting back into my decade-old hip-hop project Cap City Mob, and have learned a few new tricks, as well as improved my lyrics and maybe my skills. Here's a taste of one I did this evening. [The not-so-kid-friendly lyrics inside.] [more inside]
My friends made a rap song...then they asked me to remix it for an album they're releasing soon. Here is the result. It samples the amazing reggae song, Uptown Top Ranking by Althea and Donna.

Spacey, instrumental, bongo-heavy breakbeat-driven jam with vintage analogue organ sounds sampled from a Baldwin Funmachine. Picks up where the first half stopped and has more of a prog-hip-hop vibe than the first section. [more inside]

An oldish mashup of some dated electro ala Busy P and rhymes by the Beastie Boys. Kept current by the always timeless Donovan.
Some bluesy hiphop/dubstep.
Made with sounds of failing hard drives from this post, a sample of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, the 808 bass drum, and a smattering of club-violence-related acapellas. I also used sounds from software crashes. [more inside]
