So named because it is also split into two parts, first small then larger, and kinda makes me feel like I did standing on the bridge in between.

log
This is an old song, not written for the mefi music challenge water theme, but the lyrics kind of fit, so I decided to upload it. I actually wrote this waltz about having a cold, but it sounds very "oceanic."

Paying No Mind
The song started as a very simple guitar progression and evolved from there. I love the sound of crickets, frogs, locusts, rain, thunder, etc. Nature in general. So I found some sound clips, added some more guitar, an oboe here, a drum fill there, and there it is. Simple and relaxing.

Fog Horn Narrative
Boats on the north sea, fog horns, seagulls, surf, moby dick, 20,000 leagues and more fog horns.

Dance of the Ice Crab
There is a bowl filled with various amounts of wather (I tried to tune it in Gmin) and some synth (sub aqua)
Just found out about this contest today, did it in two hours! The lead is very rough and rushed (clumsy?), but it is interesting. This is the first time I've tried to create a song in years..

the River Girl
A song by my band, the Notes and Scratches, kind of about Vivian Eliot and featuring a bunch of water. I sing and play the acoustic and the harmonium.

ripples
Only tangentially related to the theme of the challenge, but my testing audience thought the song sounded like ripples, and that seemed like enough (plus it motivated me to finish sooner than I might have!).

Storm
Recorded in 2001 during a thunderous rainstorm while working in the desert at Lake Powell in Utah. All sounds apart from rain/thunder are guitar - 5 total. I think.

Used To Ride That Train
There must've been hundreds of times over the years that I've tapped out a rhythm on a pan full of water while doing the dishes, the pitch woozily shifting as the h2o sloshes about. At those times I've almost always thought, hey, I should put this on a track sometime. Of course, I never did, until the first MeFi Music Challenge, with its "water" theme. Along with the big metal bowl full of troubled waters, you'll hear jawharp, talking drum, bombo drum, bell, shaker and vocal. [Lyrics and more inside]

Atlantic
This song is about my wife, who was far away at the time. Recorded entirely on an old Tascam 8-track: no ones or zeroes allowed. I'll put a new one up, as well... but I had to upload this one because its so watery. CREDITS: Tyler Massey (that's me): composition, guitar & rubbishy, slightly-out-of-tune vocal; Joel Hatfield: production, bass, & backing vocal; Alex Kendall, drums; Kevin Allison: guitar & backing vocal. 1995.

Burning need. Write a song.
This isn't a particularly good song, so I recommend you don't listen if you like music. Which you do. Pay no attention to all my shitty lyrics peppering your music page, now, if you please.

Rain in the Desert
This is a slightly older song, released in '06, but I thought it fit the challenge. I wrote it shortly after moving to L.A. when I was awakened by a thunderstorm, and fell back asleep to some strange dreams...

Water Rising
Going electric for the first MeFi music challenge. Enjoy.
(By the way, everything I know about beatboxing, I learned from Tom Waits.)

floating on a river
A song about tubing, written (and sung) by a good friend of mine. It's not new, but this gave me an excuse to dig up an old record that rarely gets heard. Enjoy!

underwater caves
A song about underwater caves and the strange things that live in them. Me and my wife recording as Tangemeenie. Sorry, it's not new, but I wanted to play, too. And I use my guitar to do an impression of water in this song, so it just seemed to fit.

The most frozenest river around
A song inspired by crossing the frozen river Neva in Saint Petersburg, Russia. This song is short, simple, and basically three choruses and no verses. That's right - screw the verses!

Drink Meta-Filtered Water
This is my contribution to the Music Challenge. I started off wanting to write a song about how water is the best beverage ever, which made me think of filtered water, which made me think of Meta-Filtered water, and so on...
