'Til We're Dead (EP version)

September 15, 2008 1:56 PM

Rerecorded version of "'Til We're Dead" from my forthcoming EP.

I think fans who heard the original demo posted here a few months ago will notice that apart from a key change we thought was necessary, the arrangement is mostly the same. Keep in mind while listening that this is an unmixed rough cut so the levels are certainly out of whack and the end-result will be more polished. Hope you enjoy it and thanks again for all of the kind words, covers, etc. you all have shared with me.

If anybody wants to receive updates on the status of the EP, feel free to message me or just check out the Myspace link on my profile here. Also check out my last MeFiMu post here to hear more from the EP.

This sounds really really good, IC. The original was good, too, but this is improved. Are you doing all the instruments?

This is cool. I like those falstto backup vox. The bass line is really nice, too.

I like how the chorus is more stacatto than the rest -- nice contrast.

I'm a fan of extra percussion and nonsense syllables, so this is all good.

This is good, I'm diggin it but the original was just so awesome I don't think you needed to change it. The vocals in the original were scratchier and it fit the song really well, I liked the slightly faster tempo in the orginal too, made it sound kinda poppy (in a good way). But this is still good.

The other day I was listening to a song from the soundtrack of Juno (Anyone Else But You) and it has a pa pa parara chorus that immediately reminded me of this song, but I couldn't remember who had posted.

I'm glad you posted this new version. Have you heard that song from Juno?
