This is probably the worst idea I've followed through on in a while. I drank a lot of coffee this morning. I apologize.
I have a much more defensible version in mind for my main contribution to this month's music challenge, for what it's worth.

I could write one new song per day for a year and never come close to this.
That's not going to stop me from writing one new song per day for a year, of couse.

The only problem with the More Cowbell version is that it betrays the significant problems with my Walken impression.
Well, the only two problems with the More Cowbell version is the preceding and the fact that the cowbell track is a manic, idiotic distraction from the actual tempus of the song, but the latter problem is pretty much a standard feature of More Cowbell, so, hey.

Camp as a row of tents - fab! I was hearing this done in a Noel Coward-style plummy English voice. That would completely break me up (nice piano work by the way).

Wow, only Walken himself could do this better and even then he'd have to do it with YOUR piano playing which is really excellent.
This is the first time I really understood how "New York" VU lyrics are, aside from the obvious references. Great call with the invocation of Walken; this is cool, good and fun, but it works on some deeper levels too!

Your Walken is so much better than my Walken. Not perfect but definitely from the same neighborhood as Walken, if he has a regional accent (it's only regional if it's another solar system, because he's definitely an alien).

The piano and guitar work is actually really good, in addition to the significant portions of funny you brought to this. Great stuff. I love it when people take a joke further than they had to.

I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing... but after listening twice (and loving it), I found myself turning to Shatner's Transformed Man.

I had Shatner's early recorded work very much in mind when I was working on this. My Shatner is terrible, however. Just, really, abysmal. All the nuance of a twelve year old blindly aping a Kevin Pollack bit he just saw on TV.

My absolute favorite bit is the way you enunciate "come on!" I like the weird combo of Walken and girly shriek.
Also love how perfectly you capture Walken's little voice breaks.

Oh, man. Honestly, I came in here prepared to roll my eyes and click out pretty much right away.
But..this is mesmerizing. The "she's a femme fatale" panned right made me laugh really loud and it's 3 in the morning here and I'm alone in the basement with my precious beer.
Very well done monsieur cortex.
