a slow and blatant abuse of out of phase & out of time--- a guitar song.

so trippy! you don't have to give up all your magic tricks, but can you offer some insight into how you made it? are you playing single notes and letting them ring, is this multiple guitars, are you using multiple instances of the effects or do you just have single instances really cranked up, etc.?

It's multiple tracks (half a dozen or so) of me playing guitar slowly through a phaser and chorus pedal chain. Nearly all of the tracks are time stretched and pitch shifted at different intervals with reverb added, reversed, stretched again, reverb added again, reversed once more to play forward. A few of the instances are overlaid on top of each other out of phase, and one or two instances are repeated. Really, it's computer music with guitar as the original source for all tracks.

at the crossroads, me and a friend have a joke when we hear various sounds where we say "loop it, drench it in 'verb, reverse it, put it on a tape, send it in the mail, reverse it again, verb it again. But the way you made this is so awesome, and ruins the joke. There's so much depth to each of these sounds.

That reminds me that I forgot to mail it to myself to my future house to reverse it one more time and put a little extra note in the package just to add one more verb to the recursion to give it a tiny boost.
