February Music Challenge!

Before I get on with the challenge a big THANKS and Woo Hoo! to everyone who participated for the last one. You guys really made something awesome and special out of that!
A while back flapjax at midnight pointed out this comment and post to me and I think it's a great idea. So, thank you flapjax and Baby_Balrog!

Is there a good resource for Thomas Pynchon lyrics online anywhere? I had a quick google but came up with nothing.

Is it too late to broaden it to lyrics that appear in novels? I'd love to do one of the songs that Jonathan Lethem describes in his book You Don't Love Me Yet.

I think you're on the right track umbú. I've been scouring the web and can't even find decent lyric sheets for the bands that have already done this. Jeez.
Ok, let's revise this little oopsie of mine and make something of it.
For anyone who doesn't have access to any Pynchon books, make lyrics and songs from your favorite prose/author/novel. Maybe we'll end up with something like Zeppelin did with LOTR.

Yeah, I had apparently imagined that there were lyrics in that mefi post. Hoom! Novel lyrics in general sounds keen*, I'll go update the challenge.

What determines what monthly challenge playlist songs get listed under?
I'm looking at the current challenge page (here) and snsranch's "Remainders Pt II" is listed there. So I wonder: Does it just automatically grab anything with the ""mefimusicchallenge" tag and add it to that month's playlist? If that's the case, do songs posted in the last 24 hours of the month get added to the next month's playlist for people in earlier time zones, or is it determined by what is posted by the end of the month according to whatever the last time zone is?

I think it's just by date, server time, though you'd have to poke pb for a definitive answer.
