A traditional bluegrass arrangement of the classic spiritual by my band, Green Mountain Bluegrass Band. From our new (and first studio) album, City Limits.
Green Mountain Bluegrass Band is based out of Eugene, OR and is made up of: Dennis Berck on rhythm guitar and vocals; Mike Bray on bass and vocals; MetaFilter's own Jeremy Sher on fiddle; Chuck Holloway on the 5-string banjo and vocals; Gracin Dorsey on mandolin/vocals.
Our new album, City Limits, is available now. CDBaby, iTunes, Google Play, Spotify

Niiiice.
On the strength of your Whiskey Before Breakfast, I checked this out. That's some solid, straight-up bluegrass right there. Good job on the vocal arrangement, too!

Just checked out your album, too. Looked over the songs you picked. Huh. "Hello City Limits," "The First Whipoorwill," "Big Sciota"?

Now that I've given it a couple listens, I have to say I thought your arrangement of Stand By Me was really good...not the most obvious choice for doing a bluegrass arrangement.
Was wondering how it was going to work when I saw it in the track listing. Answer: very well. Nicely done!
