Improvising on a synth loop
A New Kind of Beat 3
Arpeggiator solo
gentle ben II
a short instrumental featuring all your favourite instruments including the ernie ball stingray 5-string fretless bass, the PRS SE Paul's Guitar, the Takamine G-series acoustic guitar, the Hammond SK-1 organ, and the Roland DP-90 providing the piano as well as the drums!!!!
Jazz Trio Improv #1
I recently did a fairly significant overhaul to my recording setup - trying out the new rig with a jazz trio type format with an improvised double bass part which I mic'd and DI'd the pickup & blended the two together. Stereo piano is from the Roland DP-90 and the drums are the factory brushes kit from the DP-90 also.
Piano Jam 2020
Piano improvisation based on the initial riff that eventually goes into a groove section which I loop and add bass/drums. And then there is an outtro part after the groove with a cheeky solo on the fretless bass.
GAIA jam
Featuring Carlos Najar on guitar and your homeboy carrotadventure on synths and drum machine.
In this upbeat improv jam I am playing the Roland GAIA synth for chords and the Korg Monologue for bass. Also operating the Roland TR-8 for beats.
Francesco Todeschini Piccolomini
Pope Pius III: His Facebook fan page says it all, but that may be because he served as pope for less time than William Henry Harrison served as POTUS. [more inside]
Giovanni Battista Cybo
Meet the inappropriately-named Pope Innocent VIII. Witch hunter. Innovator in the field of immolation. Simonist. Slave regifter. And don't forget about his army of bastard children placed the Vatican on the brink of financial ruin. [more inside]
Pietro Barbo
Paul II was a poster child (or grand-nephew) of papal nepotism. This fellow made it more difficult to downsize church government because of his tendancy to appoint new cardinals in private. Oh yeah, he also loved bling and some accounts cite his fatal heart attack happening whilst being sodomized by his boy lover. [more inside]
Alfonso de Borja
You probably knew him better as Pope Callixtus III. His legacy, aside from his advanced age, feebleness and incompetence, is marked by a widely-spread (and patently false) rumor that he successfully exorcised Halley's Comet in 1456. [more inside]
Killing Two Birds
An improvised instrumental experiment on digital accordion. [more inside]
2010.08.26-03: Viola & Effects
I can't get enough electric viola. [more inside]
No Talking From You!
When a spoken-word performance goes wrong, improvise. [more inside]
Hillbilly Disco
This is just an improv jam from a rehearsal with my old band. It's a little bit funky, a little jazzy. Overall it's just a really fun groove IMO. The recording quality is not the greatest but it's not too bad. It features me on drums, my buddy Dan on guitar and another guy named Jonathan on keys.
Enjoy.
Sumomo Mo Momo
Improvised sludge-rock by three people who'd never played together before. Stereo-action guitar pyrotechnics by nylon.
Trees + Herbs Just Got Easier
cloeburner and I used to be in an improv noise rock band called cloeburner. When I listen to this song, I think of a majestic bald eagle, sinking slowly into a pool of lava and contemplating its own mortality. I hope you will, too.
