Naomi Lullaby
A lullaby for my friends who had their first child on Christmas. Done in NanoStudio on the iPad.
Lifelong
This began as an improvised piece involving a Poly Evolver synth, a Memory Man pedal, and an iPhone running Moog Filtatron. Then I decided to bury everything in noise, fuzz and tape flutter until it became nigh-unlistenable. Enjoy!
Layered Bells
A little experiment in the ambient/minimalist Steve Reich/Mike Oldfield vein. [more inside]

Akihabara Station Stairs
This is an environmental sound recording: rush hour commuters descend a staircase at Tokyo's Akihabara Station. You'll hear the dopey little melody (twice in a row) that they play for every train that pulls in, the clatter of feet as commuters rush down the stairs, the ambient bird call recordings they play in the station, and the pre-recorded announcements. Video here, which is the third clip so far at my new YouTube channel, HiddenTokyo
Ambient Piano Piece
On an old hard drive, I've recently uncovered a directory of sounds I created. I thought I'd share this one. It's an ambient piece.

Outside #2
Summertime gives me a lot of time to write music. Especially outside. This track samples "Do While" by Oval. I wanted to turn an ambient track into something a bit more danceable. Any thoughts?

for j
this is some noodling on a lap steel (i'm a double bassist by trade), stuck through a delay and processed a bit afterwards. it's too long (i would recommend doing your own fadeout at around 2.40), but it's sort of pretty.

oslo nights
This is a quiet, meditative, minimalist instrumental piano piece, with occasional visits by vibes, fretless bass and lap steel guitar. You might want to play it somewhat loudly to hear some of the softer notes. Do you think it's finished, or should I add something? [more inside]
