It's funny to hear yodel parts not yodeled!
That's what I was thinking. It kind of reads as a quaint impersonation of Americana.
Still adorable.
And nowhere near as annoying as when American bands in the early 80's tried to sound punk by affecting a bad English accent.

Oh wow, I was listening to all the songs that have been recently posted in a row and I certainly wasn't expecting this. What a nice surprise. Lovely, lovely song (never heard the original, but this performance is fantastic). If you have more like this, by all means post them!
