On Halloween

A song of great longing (and lots of autotune).
Yeesh, this is what I spent most of my Halloween doing. Gabe Deutsch supplied the song/vocals...I had him yell into my powerbook and orchestrated the thing. Yeah, if it's not Nov. 1st by the time you hear this, go ahead and play it at ur costume party.

This is rather wonderful. Now, I didn't hear this until November 2, but I'm in Japan, and we're ahead of you Americans, you know, so I was only a day late by US reckoning...
Great use of autotune, fabulous synth bass, and a lyric hook like "You see right through me, I thought you knew me, why don't you please me" is classically perfect pop meaninglessness. And that's a compliment.

I like the collision here between new wave and classy pop and fuzzy, buzzy synths and anguished screaming.
It's like Taco getting tortured!
