I'll Stab You (for Sumru)

Being an apology-by-request to robocop is bleeding for trouncing him unmercifully in a recent game of Diplomacy.
His original lyrics are here; I took some liberties with it to make the meter and rhyme work better for me.
I haven't heard the original song in a very long time, so I may have taken liberties with the melody and chord structure as well. Gratuitous synth strings and Oooooh sounds added just for cheese.
O Sumru, forgive me.
Kaiser.

That was unforgivable, cortex. Retribution will come your way, I do not doubt.

Is it wrong that I like this version better than the original? The piano is sublime.

It disturbs me a little how much more willing I've been lately to pursue bad musical ideas than to record serious music
I can identify. I'm pretty sure that's what Metafilter music is all about!

Excellent. I hereby declare it the official anthem of Diplomacy.
No stabbing me, though.
