In the Region of Leeds

Another RPM album preview, presumably about football?

Don't ask why we have two accordions. It's a long story involving man vs sun's mom. No, really.

INSTRUMENTATION:
Timbill: Red Accordion
Maĵor Tom: Black Accordion

P.S. We actually got 5 new tracks recorded Thursday, containing around 30-35 minutes of music. If everything is usable and keep-worthy in our next and final session, we may very well release a double album for RPM.

From what I remember of Leeds, that's pretty close........

With a legion of reeds, no less!

(Y'know, all those accordions ... )

Part of the beauty of these accordions (accordiae?) is that they've been sitting around mostly unused for so long, they've gone microtonal. Some places, you get different pitches depending on whether you're going in or out, because the reeds have warped so much.

Also, neither one of us knows how to "properly" play accordion. I find that helps keep one's mind more open to finding new sounds and extended techniques.

I find that helps keep one's mind more open to finding new sounds and extended techniques.

Plus, it saves time over actually learning any instruments.

Here's the video from this performance.
