up all night

This is a low-fi tech-pop song I did over the last couple nights, kind of as a happier counterpoint to my last song on here. Lots of layered/sliced fuzzy synths- i'm going for a 'if My Bloody Valentine or Ride did electropop' sort of thing. I promise to start posting songs with lyrics but as of now my only mike seems to be meant for use with CB radios.

I like the groove of this a lot. Your description of it is spot-on. Definitely could be great with a killer vocal melody (it really needs that, in my opinion). The stutters you put in there are really clever. It probably needs a more composed ending.

This is nice. Great layering and the overall sound is nice, with good melodies. The main thing I notice is that the transitions sound a bit choppy to me, like around 1:13 when a lot of stuff comes in. Like it's switching gears too noticeably.

I disagree with ropeladder about the transition -- that sounds like the chorus kicking in, to me. I agree about the vocals -- I'd really like to hear some. (But I always would.)

In any case, I like the overall feeling here a lot.
