I shot a man in Reno...

Cowboy Junkies flavored version of the Johnny Cash classic.

Spent yesterday evening working up this cover of Folsom Prison Blues in the studio. The guitar solo isn't quite right yet, but figured I'd throw it up here for your enjoyment anyway.

Disclaimer: I was unfortunately (or fortunately?) wearing pants at the time.

Hey, this is really nice! The glock and the pedal steel are sweet (are they real?). It's got this cool sort of "floaty" feeling what with the -- synth? stuff in the background. Anyway, this is great.

Ooooh, nice. Great job. The very pretty, floaty synths/pedal steel, as Karlos said, are a great addition, creates a dichotomy of emotions with such a sad song. Please say the pedal steel is real, because I want more pedal steel, whoa.

Yep, the pedal steel is 100% real. I couldn't find our glockenspiel though (how does one misplace a glockenspiel?) so we had to go with a synthed version of that. The floaty background stuff is pretty much all guitar through volume and effects pedals. Glad you like it!
