Troll's Theme Song

January 3, 2012 12:49 AM

Originally titled Möbius Madness, this recursive ditty has been repurposed for the January Challenge. Truncated from its original length of 26 minutes to meet the 10MB size restriction, Troll's Theme Song is meant to demoralize the listener; it may cause confusion, insanity, and bleeding of the ears.

Co-composed with Guitar Pro 5 in July of '08 by myself and a roommate; he was responsible for the guitar "melody" while I wrote the percussion. It was written as an "evil clown interlude" for a metal song, but it suddenly grew beyond our control and copied itself ad infinitum (the 26 minute mark was a limitation of the software). He wanted to burn it with the fires of the Windows Recycling Bin, but, realizing its potential, I stayed his hand. Now I wield it as a sonic weapon, an Aural Assault of Doom that I unleash upon unsuspecting party attendees. For maximal effect, I hide the stereo remote and lock the audio cabinet. If you too wish to possess this weapon, MeMail me for the original version.

Ha, this totally has the evil clown vibe. I feel like I'm trapped in some hellish video game.

Very oddly, today I am going to write a short film with the structure of a mobius strip.

This is great, I love music that is not necessarily meant to be pleasant. Nevertheless very interesting.
