Sweet Nell

A modern old-time fiddle tune, written by Rob Pine and Jim Mullany, played to test my small pedalboard and electric violin.

I have this electric violin that I haven't been playing, and I wired up a pedalboard right before lockdown started and haven't touched it since. I got it out tonight and figured I'd put together a quick test of what stacking some effects sound like. First time through is just reverb, second time adds a delay set more like a phaser, third time blends in an octave down.

Because I can't really play guitar, the backup comes from Strum Machine.

Really nice! That's a sweet little tune for sure. The effects are subtle which is a great touch. Good work!

At the beginning of each section, with the four bars where the low strings ring out on that seventh beat of the eight—that's what ties everything together. V-v-v-fffffoooom. This is fun as hell to listen to.
