Last Night in Christmastown

December 16, 2020 11:35 AM

Someone asked me recently what I thought was the worst Christmas song...

It was early December. The year was 1990-something-low. I had just jammed a Turtle Beach Monte Carlo soundcard in my 386 PC with Windows 3.11. I used my Walkman and a pile of Radio Shack adapters to get a battered SM57 to line level. I had a steel string acoustic with a very loose neck, an Ebow, and a fat bag of Northern Lights. Then this happened.

I haven't even listened yet and I am *down*. Hang on while I click play.

Strong Waldo-posts-himself / nightmare-cheesecake-truck/paul mccarthy santa vibes.

I can completely picture being excited about this and playing to my parents who simply would not understand at all.
