Together (You are not alone)

Short, vaguely uplifting sample-based beat.
Featuring a sample from "I am legend", which I have not seen and I assume is completely out of context.

This is really neat. It's more comforting than "I Am Legend" was, so I guess maybe it is out of context.

As of today, the page no longer allows me to favorite stuff, otherwise I would have favorited your song. Very nice, sputgop.

I think the sample from I am Legend is perfect here. I keep listening to this and thinking about the movie and it adds a whole new dimension to both...there's something really funny and wonderful about it. I picture Will Smith in the middle of the paved lot at noon, on a sunny day where life doesn't seem so lonely and he's kind of strutting up to the table, breaks into a sort of robot dance with this in the background. And then I also think of this song, just the words themselves outside of the context of the movie and they take on this whole other meaning. Something kind of universal and matter-of-fact, yet emotionally grounded. Which ties back to one of the themes of the movie I guess, but in a different way. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, whether you intended to or not, there's some intertextuality going on here and it works on multiple levels, re-informing both the movie and the song. It's all sort of neat, and I've clearly thought way too much about it. Oh well. Words are cool.
