Mystery Intergalactic Radio Burst Detected
A fun composite/mishmash of song ideas (and some narration) originally created in response to a sound track idea request for an eccentric little animation a friend of mine was trying to get going. Not sure if the animation will ever come about but here is what I put together for it.
The Flank of Bridenstein
I had a bit of fun with this: it's about a relationship gone wrong. I believe that the dual bass part is rhythmically interesting. Double bass and synth bass rhythmically intertwine and are coupled with a synth trumpet. There may be some Brian Eno influences a la The Drop.

(8-Bar Wake) Before an Irish Funeral
First song off of the new People Will Blink record. This song was written about 3 years ago and went through many transformations before it began to sound... well... listenable. When we played this song live, Azeem used a vocoder during the bridge. He forgot it in California when we recorded, so we used a clarinet, melodica, and recorder in it's place. [more inside]
