Wicker Man (Elton John parody)

So griphus and I were watching 1973 cult classic The Wicker Man and my brain got thinking about Rocket Man and, well, here we are.

They built my legs out of logs
My chest is sticks and twine
I'm twenty feet hiiiiiiiigh
And lookin' fine

They filled me up with animals
A goat, a couple chickens too
But there's man-sized cage
That needs filling too

And I think we're gonna grow the crops just fine
The elder gods will be back on our side
I've got the man they want to kill inside
he screams 'oh no'
but I'm the Wicker Man

Wicker Maaaaaan
Burning with a Christian cop inside
Wicker Maaaaaan
Helping with a pagan homicide

And I think I'm gonna burn a long long time
And I think he's gonna burn a long long time

Sing us a song about the Wicker Man
Sing us a song tonight
For we're all in the mood for human sacrifice

This is awesome. koeselitz, are you starting something? If I wasn't about to go away for Easter, I'd record a response a la Nick Drake.

Going to see the Wicker Man
Gonna fill him all I can
With all the christiaaans
That I can find

You're thinking of a different film that coincidentally has the same name and same plot but otherwise is unrelated.

O, they orbit each other like planets, they do. Unrelated, but oh-so-related.

I just. This is so great! Excellent production, great lyrics and delivery. I only wish I had more friends IRL who actually had seen Wicker Man because this song would KILL*

*all puns are always intended
