Tidal Girl

The Fourth installment by The Olivers, my band with Afroblanco and a few other guys. (Previously 1, 2, 3.) This is another fairly earnest pop-rock song that we think is pretty hot, but without your opinions, we have no real way of knowing, now do we? We thank you all for any thoughts or suggestions you might have.

Also, for all you NYC-ers out there, we'll be playing at Club Midway in the east village tomorrow night (4/3, 10:00), and we'd love to see you all there. Hell, say you're there for some other band if this feels like we're pimping ourselves too much - we just wanna meet y'all in the flesh. Thanks again.

It's a bit too chaotic for my tastes (the loose timing and that "cheaply distorted" guitar...) but I like the vocals. There is a real urgency to them. Reminds me a little bit of that clap your hands guy. Great background vocals too. The song has an identity, which is good. An interesting listen, thanks.

It sounds good. I like the chaos; it's like David Byrne meets Rusted Root. The rhythm guitars come in a little too thick, though.

*shrug* okay. you asked.

Nice vocals. Need to be potted up just a tad. Percussion is messy fun. I like that. The shaker is off. I know you're doing it on purpose, but cut it out.

Cut out the harmonizing unless you're actually going to harmonize. Sounds like a couple zombies that just got kicked in the nads.

Distortion on the guitar is too much. The other guitar is ideal.

Aside from that, kudos! =)
