Dance of the Ice Crab

July 5, 2007 7:39 PM

There is a bowl filled with various amounts of wather (I tried to tune it in Gmin) and some synth (sub aqua) Just found out about this contest today, did it in two hours! The lead is very rough and rushed (clumsy?), but it is interesting. This is the first time I've tried to create a song in years..

This "wather", what, is that lathery water?

I like it. Ended kinda suddenly, though. Maybe you could've taken it just a litle further somehow? I was ready for a little development!

That's a nice evocative doodle, xorry. I'm a sucker for tuned kitchen-table percussion, so the xylophonic water bowl loop totally does it for me. And such a great sense of submersion in the last third there.

And welcome to Metafilter! What brought you around?

Wow - it's hard NOT to imagine crabs dancing around on the ice.

Thanks for the comments! I should expand it a bit. I suppose it is easy to imagine a crab just falling off the bubbly pipes..

Wather.. hmm..

Oh, and cortex's question about metafilter.. I've been reading for years but usually through an rss filter.

I just happened to wander onto the actual site and saw the music section. Delightful.
