Subject of the Kill

The final version.

Yesterday I posted a demo version of the song Subject of the Kill. This is what it ended up sounding like after the band had our way with it.

I like it! It sounds a bit like a mix between Jimmy Eat World and some of the newer US pop-rock bands. Take that either way you like, but know I mean it to mean that I thought this was a good blending of new and old. Consider thyself playlisted!

Lot's of energy! Thanks for sharing this and the previous demo. There's a breakdown in this version before the 3 minute mark that I'm not sure works to the song's advantage. It kind of slows the momentum with no real pay-off. Full disclosure: I only know what I like.

i have to admit that i prefer the original version. like i would listen to that version and maybe put it on a cd and i would avoid this version like the plague.

but that's me. me, of questionable taste.

It's really cool what you did, posting the two versions, and yeah, the song changed a lot. This is brimming with ideas and a lot of little cool details, but I too like the demo better. This one sounds more like something you'd hear on the radio or in Mtv (if they still play music) if that helps.
