Boom Chicky Boom

Here's a peppy little number that goes out to all you fine folks out there in MetaFilterland. Instruments in use (in order of appearance!) are mouthbow, talking drum, bamboo rattle, scraper, bass drum, pitchpipe, little bell, and ukulele.

This is another song from my upcoming release. It's been upcoming for a while now, but it's coming more and more up all the time. I'm looking at releasing it May or June. It'll be a 2-CD set, called Got From Gone.

Ah ha ha, that's awesome.

The mouthbow / talking drum combo is really great. I like that repetitive primitive techno-dance groove.

There's a sound that I can't figure out which instrument makes it .It first comes in at 0:38, but there's a little bunch of instruments that come in at the same time. I guess it's gotta be the pitchpipe, it's kinda played in syncopation.

Hmmm, I was thinking, then you sang "that is the ones that wouldn't get me high" and I thought, oh, right. Cool lyrics, I also like the closing lines a lot.

This song kicks ass and I wish I could get my mouth harp thingy to sound like that! Kudos!

Oh, that's it. I'm taking a talking bow and a bunch of perc instruments on the boat with me next time we go and scraping up some players for something to do during the dull times. This song will be my recruiting poster.
