anxiety

June 15, 2008 10:46 AM - played 9 times

New order/90's bowie/nin/soulwax/rise-robots-rise (ok, but with no rapping)/faithnomore style.

Wrote this after having a few months of anxiety attacks for the first time, along with suspected nerve damage that turned out to be a result of being so anxious, i caused something to jam up in my neck that did make it feel as though I did have some! Whew.

Although a mixtastical nightmare, this came out way more orderly than I expected for something about anxiety. The 3rd verse vox are non-existent 'cause I just haven't gotten around to working on it.

The nifty female background vocals during choruses are actually one of the antares plugins, I think, which was quite freaky hearing the first time.

I have no idea what the indian singer from the sample cd is chanting during the verse.

there ya go.

The verses kind of explain stuff going on between myself and some people around me while this was happening; the chorus is:

'bubblegum diaphragm
holds my hands
stops me being
so much man'

Yea, that sounds like a tough mix to nail down, but whatever, man. Good show!

Whee, a little like depeche mode. Makes me want to grin and spin around happily.

This is ambitious, with all of the layers, sections and chord changes. There's a lot of promising stuff in here. I totally sympathize with the mixtastical nightmare. It does sound a little muffled.

The 'femalizer' is insane. How does it even work? Do you just turn it on?
