Whisky For My Toothache

Been a long dry spell in terms of writing.

Wrote and recorded this tonight. Rough round the edges as you like and lazy as hell to boot. But it's something. Please to enjoy. Or not.

Ahh, nothing like a 12-bar blues. The "lazy" feel really works in your favor here, I think; nicely done.

I'm not sure if you were really close to the mic, or if you tweaked some levels, or if your voice is just really bassy, but I love the way the vocals came out. It's what makes this one memorable -- which is good when you're playing in a genre based on a specific chord progression.

Cheers, danb. I was really close to the mic, yes. It was pretty late to be recording vocals.

Yeah, I was gonna say how nice the vocals sound here too. FWIW, I'm listening on relatively new headphones, which I'm still "exploring," and on this song the vocals sound really deep inside my skull, especially the second verse onward. Great feeling.
