If I never do anything else with my life, at least I have this to show for it. I'll have to awkwardly work it into conversations at my 10 year high school reunion.
"What have I been up to? Oh, you know. This. That. Nothing much. Aside from, y'know, getting favorited all to shit and back for this song I wrote for this website. No, no, really, it's a funny story. This guy Matthew—well the site is run by a guy named Matthew, too, but that's a different guy—anyway this guy, he was spamming, I mean, not like email spam, but spammy comments, you know, he was...hey, where are you—
"Right. Well, uh, good to see you! You look great!
"Bitch.
"Oh, hey, Todd! The Toddster! Man, ten years, huh? You look great! Oh, what have I been up to? Not much. This. That. Well, there was this song..." posted by cortex at 1:34 PM on

crazyray: matthewchen posted spam (since deleted, of course). adamrice called him out in MeTa with a thread that simply said "matthewchen is spamming." Later, stavrosthewonderchicken said "There's a jangly, wistful guitarpop song somewhere in the phrase 'mathewchen is spamming'...." cortex agreed, and stavros spun the song into its own MeTa thread.

I can't believe I didn't leave an awestruck comment back when I first heard this, and I also can't believe I can remedy the omission a year and a half later.
Also... I wish this song would be longer. I wonder if this'll show up on anyone recent activity page. posted by Kattullus at 6:09 PM on
