can't wait

bittersweet sturm und drang

Waltz time. I've never been hit be a truck, but I feel like I have. Sort of like Hank Williams meets My Bloody Valentine.

I like the sound textures, the vocals are a bit too forward maybe? They just feel a bit too, close.. Like the mood of the song asks for a bit of reverb with a strong wet signal thats a bit lower in the mix overall..

Also, just out of curiosity, what is your setup? Do you record live drums? Mic'd or direct guitars?

FYI mediocre: no live drums. acoustic guitar is mic'd, electric is direct. using Logic Studio 8.

Yeah! I listened to the first and last versions, and I mostly agree with Mediocre. That last version has a really nice vibe to it.

Couple of little things: I like the way the "but..." (1:36) shifts from one side to the other, and I really like how the first thing we hear is an intake of breath and then an exhale of guitar.

Calming and woozy at the same time, like a honky tonk swaddled in Percocet. Good stuff.
