At micayetoca's request, here is my take on Elvis Presley's Poison Ivy League.
As a special bonus, here's me playing ukulele!

And what a great song, so cutting and dark and completely right-on, hidden within the cheese of Roustabout.

You'll pardon my fowl language, but this is fucking great. What a great version. Couldn't be better, really. Thanks a million for doing this.
And that blahblahblah song in the youtube link, is that yours?
what a great song, so cutting and dark and completely right-on, hidden within the cheese of Roustabout.
...and with the epic line "boys in that Ivy League give me an itch... those sons of the rich". Truly good stuff.

Now I'm trying to come up with a clever line to justify "fowl" language and can't think of anything.

Fowl language? Isn't that what they speak on twitter? "tweet tweet"
"Blah Blah Blah" is one of mine, yes. There is a mediocre recorded version out there that features a banjo, but I wanted to get the simple uke version out as well, and since everybody I know is doing these youtube videos...
Anyway, I'm glad you like it micayetoca. I had fun working on it until it didn't sound like an Elvis song anymore.

Also, I bought that shaker from a fair trade market. It's from Cameroon, and it's made of some kind of crazy seed pods on string attached to a bamboo handle. I've been waiting for a good excuse to use it for a while now, and I figured this was the perfect chance since you love interesting percussion so much.

I like "Blah Blah Blah" a lot. And that youtube version kinda reminded me of the other song I had in mind for you when I was putting together my requests list. I thought of asking you to do this Donovan song (starts around 0:30), but in the end I chose this one.
Thanks for the version and link again man. I you ever sit down and record the ukulele version of Blah Blah Blah, I'd love to hear it.

That shaker is all loosey-goosey in a really cool way.
This has such a nice mood to it -- it's pretty ballsy to keep it so sparse! Saving the guitar for the outro, even!
This is boss.

That's a uke playing the little outro riff. It's sparse because I recorded this at my girlfriend's apartment, and there weren't many instruments around, but it works.
