Sangre de Santa

Everyone dreams of a white Christmas, but nobody does anything about it.

Thanks to Meg Cotner for the harpsichord. Thanks to Clark Ashton Smith for the word "ichor."

This is genius. Totally great.

Is that actual harpsichord? Cool!

This is my favorite broken Christmas song so far.

Great stuff! It's the perfect length for a carol, too.

Yes, real harpsichord, recorded in Meg's living room, which fronted on a busy street, hence the traffic noise in the background, which fortunately goes with the last line of the song.

(Scott Miller on teenage home recording:

"What if your mom turns on the vacuum cleaner while you're doing your best take?"
"You have to think of some reason why there should be a vacuum cleaner on the record.")
