Large Hadron Collider Pr0nz (SFW)

Science makes me horny.
And what better centerfold than the Large Hadron Collider? Indeed this is not the first song inspired by its magnitude and awesomenesssssss, but lets face it.... how could Miss Mcalpines "beat" get you all hot and bothered? That's why i made this: an abstract musical expression of my sweet lust for science (and specifically science that tackles the big questions).
YEEEEHAAAAAAAAWWWW!!!!!!! Lets get smashed and bang the LCH! LETS SEE WHAT FREAKING HAPPENS!!!!!!!
:P

Nice beats! I can never find the patience to programme anything nearly as complex or good.

Certainly, people still listen. And people still write music like this, certainly. Check out the flashbulb or wisp among others.
Like many other artists in this genre, i did not come from a "club" background. I don't "make beats" so much as i just like to write music. I suppose many of these gestures aren't en vogue in the dance scene, but many artists writing this kind of music never did write coming from here. Many are classically trained, many are jazz musicians (like squarepusher who comes from the background as a jazz bassist).
Me? i was a bassonist. Seriously. And i write this music because its what i sincerely want to listen to. Its the "song in my heart". I love nothing more than a carefully crafted drumbeat, that expresses as many gestures and as much emotional dynamicism as any melody or standard tonal passage. going to recitals as school i heard this kind of thing in academic percussion works of people like John Cage. (especially his constructions and prepared piano pieces that Aphex pulled influence from)
The good news is i'm not alone. I hope that you don't pigeon hole this as "IDM" that thing that happened briefly in the dance sphere in the 90s. Phillip glass, minimalist composer even covered an Aphex Twin song. and vice versa.
I hope this information and links lets you know who i am, where i am coming from and who tunes into this kind of stuff.
And also, thank you all for your comments.

Thanks for that, 5imian. I find your projects really interesting and is exactly the kind of thing I would like to get into.
