Sweetness

Split up with her yesterday. Wrote this today.

Recorded it this evening.

It's kind of miserable, but right now so am I.

My divorce is finalized in two weeks, so this meant a lot to me.

Thanks—this is really great. It's so very hard to channel these things into something constructive, something creative; but you're a great lyricist, and this is an excellent rendering. I'll be listening to it a lot in the coming days.

I'd even call it gorgeous.

Sorry to hear about the divorce, koeselitz, and wishing you all the best.

Thank you also for the kind words.

I'm currently having shock, denial, anger, grief, guilt and impulse-to-bargain all at once in between crying jags and very much look forward to the 'hope and acceptance' stage I read so much about lately.

This too will pass and all that.

Damn. Hope that writing it, singing it and posting it helped you exorcise a little bit of the pain, at least. It's a good song, and I hope you'll be feeling better soon (and you too, koeselitz). Best wishes, man. Those things are tough.

That THUMP THUMP THUMP CLANG percussion is really ballsy, I love it.

This has a nice vibe to it -- dark and meloncholy without descending into maudlin wallowing.

Heh. That'll be the day.

All I can say is: thank god for Joy Division.

Yes. Also Morphine. By which I mean the band.
