Hole In My Mood

This is a scrambled up song written immediately after I learned how to play Hoagy Carmichael's classic "Georgia On My Mind" about ten years ago. I learned it from Willie Nelson and transposed the chord set from C# to F and wrote some words and dropped and added some of the chords (pace, Hoagy) in the process. It is fun to sing.

I like it in F. Your vocal work is cool, but your finger work is awesome. There's something I want to say about your guitar work that will take some time to think about first. I'll get back to you. (It's complementary).

Thanks a bunch! I am really looking forward to getting a decent mic set up. I am currently using the built-in mic in my MacBook Pro to record my vocals, and the two tunes I have recorded and put up here are the first times I have ever overdubbed a vocal (I've always recorded everything live in the past). It's a learning experience for sure!

What's unique about your guitar work is that it is so technically proficient and yet I can still feel the music. In my opinion, those who play so presicely usually sound mechanical and lack soul. Really good work on your part.

You can imagine how good that makes me feel, sciurus, thanks very much. It's taken me a long long time to like my own voice and to feel comfortable singing anything for actual people, but I do love to sing. Now I'm like a toddler: over the top and I just won't shut up.

This tune's popularity is crap, but the lyric is good. There are much better pieces of music here on MeFi music IMHO.
