Little Donut Party

August 9, 2009 11:18 AM

This is a song that I actually did write in my sleep.

I woke up yesterday morning, turned to my fiancee and said, "I just dreamed an entire song. Two verses." She asked, of course, how it goes. I sang it. She said I should record it. So I did.

I don't know what a little donut party is, but it obviously involves those sleeves of little donuts you buy at the convenience store. Delicious.

This rules so hard. Little donut parties are the new grilled cheese party.

I think I'm going to throw one just so that I can play this song. It's like a breezier, more random, electronic version of Andrew W.K..

Ah ha ha this is great. I like the bridge, too.

My wife said: "Not bad, for something written while unconscious."

And then later: "Curses, that song is stuck in my head."

The Ace of Base bridge cracked me up. This is a pretty wild thing to dream. Just don't tell me you recorded it in your sleep too, because the production is tight.

Random idea: Someone should make a flash game called "Little Donut Party" where you control a little dude trying to collect donuts at a party before the other little dudes get them. And it should have the chorus of this song playing on eternal loop as you play.

Insanely catchy - I reckon you could flog this to Dunkin' Donuts (or whatever they're called) and make a piiiiiiiiile of moolah. Splendid and de-lish-us!!
