Goodbye Horses (cover)

Here is a cover of Q Lazzarus's "Goodbye Horses" made famous I'm told in Silence of the Lambs and Clerks 2.

That was fantastic. I agree with askmeaboutLOOM that the opening synth was very grating at first, but yeah, once it gets going, it really rocks the house. Thanks for sharing, frenetic! Another winner!

I actually like how sharp the opening sync is, especially when the other elements come in. So yeah, what askme and Effigy said. Great cover!

I like the instrumental build up at the end a whole bunch. Man, the end really kicks ass. Well done!

This is pretty great-- particularly once the vocals kick in. Thanks!

And more recently, Family Guy.

Aside from the original, this is the best cover I've heard. Until I heard this, I had forgotten that this song was one I had always wanted to track down (yes kids, when I first saw the movie, I didn't have YouTube or them crazy internets). I had to go back and compare it to the original and other covers. I am in love with this version.

Awesome.
Downloaded, iPodded, the whole bit.
And I love the synth at the beginning, so there.

...Just sayin'.
Really great cover--I loved the feel of the whole thing. At first, the opening synth felt a little too cold and sharp, but once everything else came in, it worked quite well. The vocals really sealed the deal, though.
I'm reminded of Jason Beghe in a recent episode of Californication: "Who wants to see me tuck and do the pee-pee dance?"
