I had a few hours to myself this morning and wrote this song.

I went to china a few years ago and stayed at a resort that was built in the anticipation of a new city being built up around it. That hadn't happend yet. I remember seeing a sign in English that said "Silence is a luxury, and solitude the greatest form of wealth."

I love the image of a resort waiting in the middle of nowhere for its city. This is really great. Your voice sounds relaxed and melancholy, perfect for the song. I hear echoes of the joy division/smiths/cure/echo and the bunnyman era in it.

This is truly fantastic and I agree with everyone in all the things they said above. This is a remarkable song. That insane feedbackish "solo" is so perfect. It fills the requirement of having a "solo" there, but it takes it to another dimension. Fantastic stuff, dobie.

Just thought I'd check out dobie's user history to see if there were any tracks I had missed... that's why I'm late to this, but wanted to add my voice and say this is another really good song. I've said it before, but your voice is really something special. Add to that your knack for writing catchy songs with depth and cool, and you've got something pretty remarkable.
