I've Never Seen the End of This Film

Sort of a weird little sketch about part of a movie.

hey now, this is fantastic. And yes, Charlton Heston does appear to have been marinated in soy sauce in that film.

I love this. The kind of semi-sloppy multi-word rhymes that culminate in words like "Heston" are my favorite thing ever. They're all over the place in Fountains of Wayne songs, and it gives me so much joy every time.
I would have cut the mix off hard halfway through the word "ends," though, instead of letting it ring. Because.

Thanks!
unSane, I think by "brass" you mean the instrumental part in the middle? It's a few layers of Moog.
uncleozzy, that totally would have worked. I also considered working in the ending music from the film as the end of the song, but that seemed a bit cloying and clever.

*I love Danny Elfman

Beautiful! Really crisp sound as always, and I really like the lyrics. It feels like you're talking to me, and I know you, and it's all very natural and casual and sort of intimate in its way.
And... I love the layered moog thing. It does have a fun brass thing going on. Quirky, but still totally musical. Is it a hardware moog or a software moog? Is it running through a guitar amp or something?

The drums sound inspired me. Would you be interested in writing lyrics and singing on a slow burn dance track ala Sade?

This is the best song ever. Music is over. Congratulations.

I figured it was TOUCH OF EVIL from the tracking shot reference but I had totally forgotten that Charlton Heston was in it. Actually a very good movie and worth watching to the end, which can't be said about most film school faves IMO.
